Description:
color of black and greed, shading to silver on sides, golden yellow
irregular spots above and below lateral line; front of dorsal fin black;
lateral line curves gently to base of tail.

Found; INSHORE FLATS and OFFSHORE, especially over grass beds and reefs.

Remarks;
a schooling fish that spawns OFFSHORE, spring through summer. Mackerel
have very sharp teeth and when fishing for these fish a steel leader
or a long shank hook is a must. Mackerel mainly feed on small fish and
loves small gold spoons retrieved very fast.
